Filed claim 11/2021, need to file again… question.

Hi friends. I filed an unemployment claim in November 2021. I was disqualified (short story, I had to quit my job due to being forced to go back to work in the office, but I couldn’t go back because of child care issues).

I found a new job February 2022, and was just fired. I went to file a claim, but my previous one is still open until 11/5/22 and I cannot file a new one. What are my options? I searched the edd website but I feel like I need an ELI5 because I’m just more confused.

Eta: I know I can reopen my claim, but it just continue my past claim? I was disqualified then but I do qualify now, so I’m not sure reopening is the best thing?
