Go bald or keep it?

I'm 28, and I've been losing my hair since I was about 20 or so. Only recently started seeing my bald spot in a few mates' photos. Otherwise I've been wearing caps all the time, but that doesn't hide anything for those who know 😂 I just don't know if I've got the head for it and whether I should wait to be able to grow a beard (which I struggle with).
