Career changer looking to get into Dental with zero pre reqs

HI all!! I am hoping to get some advice on whether to apply for a second degree or as a non degree student. I am a career changer and have zero pre-reqs completed. I am looking to apply to dental school but need the pre-reqs done. Which road would make the most sense?

Would it make a difference to schools if I applied with a second B.S. or non-degree student?

Will credits from my first B.S. transfer over (such as gen ed and liberal arts credits) if I go with the second-degree route?

Anyone in here who is also a non-trad? Would love to read your story!
