When does the lamb season start?

I remember last year, around this time, that there was delicious lamb everywhere, except for the stuff they sold at Auchan.

Now I'm getting impatient since I can't find anything except for occasional lamb racks from Ireland, which is good, but I don't like buying imported stuff.
